Wheel SEE

Co-direction: Aya Kobayashi and Monika Smekot

Wheel SEE is a fully mobile, self-sufficient, outdoor pop-up dance performance featuring 20 dancers, 20 bikes and 40 eyes. The performers wore iconic yellow rain jackets with enlarged, hand painted eyes. The dancers traverse the city on bikes, energising streets, cycle paths, parks, and bridges with hand-painted eyes on iconic yellow rain jackets.

This blend of bicycles and distinctive costumes creates a powerful, poetic visual experience that adds a touch of magic to urban spaces, gently inviting the audience rediscover joy and connection in their surroundings.
